The Foundation also accepts collections of historical documents, genealogies, books, and other materials relevant to Fauquier County and its families.

If you would consider this kind of gift, please contact us at (540) 364-3440 or write to the address below to make arrangements.

Thank you to all of our donors! Your generous gifts of money and funding help us significantly in keeping our Foundation and its mission alive.

To those of you who have so willingly given us your books, historical and genealogical materials, and collections we thank you, too. Your donations keep the John Kenneth Gott Library growing.

Purchase a Commemorative Brick

We have established this program to provide you with an opportunity to honor a loved one with a permanent commemorative brick while helping to support the Fauquier Heritage and Preservation Foundation’s mission and goals. The brick with your personalized inscription will be displayed among the commemorative bricks surrounding the flag pole in the Mary Scott Memorial Plaza at the John Kenneth Gott Library. The commemorative brick is approximately 4 x 8 inches, and may be purchased for $100.

To place an order, please print out, complete, and mail the Commemorative Brick Form to our address (P. O. Box 594, Marshall, Virginia 20116) along with your check made payable to the Fauquier Heritage and Preservation Foundation.

  1. Trying to find a full bio on John Gott on your websites and am unable to do so. Am I missing it somehow? Would think there would be info on him since it is named after him. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
